Section Introduction PTFE. Low coefficient of friction, heat and chemical resistance together with conformability characterise these products. Standard white plumbers' PTFE tape through to PTFE coated fabrics used for heat sealing bars and electrical insulation applications. This range also includes elctrical grade PTFE's UHMW (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) coated with a high performance adhesive. Available in a range of thicknesses, for coating surfaces primarily where a reduction in friction as well as wear or abrasion resistance is required.Typical applications may be lining hoppers and chutes, conveyors, chain guards and even the underside of skis and snowboards.
