Section Introduction A range of structural bonding 2 part adhesives manufactured by 3M™ for joining metals, glass, ceramics, wood, rubbers and plastics. Bond strengths are often as strong as, or stronger than the materials joined. The applicator system simultaneously meters, mixes and dispenses the adhesive with the squeeze of a trigger from a dual-pack cartridge. Products are available to bond low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and thermoplastic olefins to themselves and to other substrates without special surface treatments. Cartridges are available in 38ml, 50ml, or 400ml, versions with air powered applicators used to dispense the larger cartridges. Manual 3M™ EPX™ Applicator Ref: 217 The manual applicator may be used with all 50ml and 38ml adhesive cartridge systems . The product has been ergonomically designed to be light to use, maintenance free and well suited to smaller scale use at multiple work stations. The cartridge simply slips and locks into the applicator with a suitable nozzle then screwed onto the tip of the cartridge. A trigger on the cartridge allows for exact dispensing with the two part adhesive being mixed within the nozzle.
